I try to be a positive person. However, I have a "down time." It can last from days to weeks, depending on what is going on in my life. It always starts with a headache. My thoughts become fragmented and hard to focus. I am emotionally and physically drained. It is hard to keep things in perspective and stay positive. I was told early on in life that there was nothing wrong with me physically, it is a mental thing. Joy, my brain is fighting me. As I have mentioned before, medications is not an option for me. I will not become dependent on any medication. While I am a bit grouchy and depressed during this time, I have never actually harmed anyone or myself.
I have been experiencing this "down time" for a couple of weeks now, the longest it has been for years. I tried an all day read fest, usually that helps, and got nothing. Walking just seems to drain my energy more. So I tried something new. I spent some time looking up positive affirmation on Status Shuffle, in Google Search, and a few other places. I am not talking about the corny stand in front of the mirror saying I am strong, I am Pretty affirmations. I am talking about sayings that when you read them, it helps you to put things into perspective. It has helped a lot. I am not 100% but I am feeling a bit better and as I write this blog, I am feeling even more myself. I have to thank my readers for "listening" to my issues.
I have decided to share these saying in my way, with pictures and blogs. This is the start to "Positive Thursday." I hope that other's get some benefit out of them.
